turning 30...

If you're going to turn 30 you might as well do it in fun company right?

Matt turned 30 last year and rang it in with style...or should I say with a bang?

One of his favorite restaurant's is Shoku, in Grandview. It's a great little sushi place. We've spent many special occasions there so it was definitely fitting to go there for Matt's 30th. We had several of our closest friends there and it was a great time!

So last Saturday was my very fabulous friend Meredith's 30th birthday! She wanted to ring in her birthday with lots of close friends and a crazy trip to Put-In Bay. Of course I was not going to miss her birthday so off we went!

The first Buckeye game was that Saturday as well, in which they kicked some major Youngstown tail!! We all met up at McCarthy's, Eddie's uncle owns a bar in Port Clinton, to watch the game. After that we made our way back to the hotel we were all staying at to change and get ready to over to 'The Bay'.

This is Meredith's sister Rachel, along with her sister-in-law Clara... funny story. Rachel is the kind of sister anyone would love to have. She's fun, energetic, sweet, and always up for a party! Unfortunately she lives in California. The fact that she was there for her sister's big birthday is truly awesome! So how did she coordinate it so she could come to Ohio? She has a friend that works for Southwest airlines and was able to fly out to Ohio for FREE! All she had to do was wait on standby! She surprised Meredith by showing up at McCarthy's on Friday night... well rather than repeating it, read the whole story here. It was great! ... and a total surprise to Meredith.

So we made it over to the bay after some trouble on the Jet Express, after getting about 100 yards from the shore the jet broke down so we had to wait an hour for the next one to arrive... anyway we made it in one piece and boy were we ready for a drink! It was so freaking hot!

Then it was off to the dance floor! This girl can shake her thang better than any 20 year old that's for sure!!

So we hopped around to other bars on the island until the last ferry of the night came to take us back to Port Clinton.
